Re: brrrrrrrrrr
Yes I am afraid what you heard is true in as much as any serious carp fishing is on the back burning, a lot of my Tackle has been cleaned and gone in to storage and I am in the process of selling off the bits I don’t really want. I have blown the dust off my course tackle (Mitchell 300s and centre pin reels, drennan tench float rod and drennan 11 foot specialist rod from the 80's.
Its days as and when I can for me now chasing large pearch, tench and bream (probably a few carp).
My job role has changed and I am spending a good few days a week away from home, I would not then expect her in doors to put up with me f++cking off carp fishing for a few nights as well.
Still don’t let the loss of such a great dangler and all round good chap put you off; think of me when you are fighting those twenty pounders in the moon light as I will be thinking of you all when my waggler sinks below the surface and a swift strike followed by solid fight lands yet another fine tench on that summers morning from my position by the lily pads on some distant estate lake of old.

Re: brrrrrrrrrr
Yes Ash it would be nice to drop in from time to time.
I have a few places I can dangle me course tackle in, i have been a member of a small mere near to munford for years, it has personal attachment for me being the place my dear brothers ashes are laid aswell as i tree planted with a plaque in his name: its a lovely place all lilly clad and kept like someones back garden ( real special) it has carp along with some nice tench and crucians.
I can guest with Mr G at Snetty and also Thompson, I am looking at rockland mere trout fishery also as that has a mere for course fish. i have a few days holiday booked in May so me and a couple of mates are having a day at old bury hill after the big crucians.
I am trying to push my PB of all the fish I use to catch back in the days before carp fishing, i have a target for tench, bream, pearch and crucians carp that I want to beat, with the fish in lakes being the sizes they are now i reckon its time to make hay before the otter and all the rest of the shit eat the lot.
