Yes Ash I like to sample many things fishing wise. I had a good trip down to Old Bury Hill with Graham and another mate Tony, we fished Milton lake which has a fair rew crucians in it, excellent day it really captured the old days of fishing using simple tactics and a chance to dust of my late brothers old tench float rod and mitchell 300 reel, as they say "it was emotional".

Arrrr Martin (rose colour glasses on)....they were the days ....fine tackle .....little float...tiny baits....Do you know the best Crucian i`ve ever caught (had a few) was on a 22mm Halibut pellet and a 2oz bolt rig!!!!! and it was a belter of a run!!!

it's the proper way to catch a crucian and tench i think, one of my targets is a large tench caught on the float around 9-10 lbs would be great.

OK chaps make way the big bald bugger is coming back....dont worry i know you have missed the strange noises coming from my bivvy regardless of time of day, get the kettle on Ash i wont have time for making tea i mean business this time and those big mirrors and a certian common are my targets
